Happy New Year!

I’m back in the studio after a really lovely summer break, feeling refreshed, inspired, and excited for what this new year has in store. Thank you, as always, for being here and for supporting my work — it truly means so much.

Kākāpō feature – celebrating breeding season
This month I’m featuring the incredible kākāpō to celebrate the start of their breeding season. These rare, flightless parrots are one of Aotearoa’s most treasured taonga, and every breeding season is a moment of real hope for the future of the species. I love honouring our native birds through my work, and the kākāpō feels especially fitting to begin the year with.

New works brewing
There are lots of new ideas quietly taking shape on the bench at the moment. I’m currently developing some fresh designs, including a new tui feather collection inspired by the elegance, strength, and mana of this beautiful bird. I can’t wait to share more with you soon.
