Double Koru Pendant Necklace — Sterling Silver
A striking double Koru pendant, beautifully cast in sterling silver from an original Tania Mallow carving, featuring two flowing spirals that intersect in a harmonious, balanced design. The pendant is finished with a sterling silver chain and clasp, creating a timeless piece suited to everyday wear or special occasions.
The Koru sits at the heart of traditional Māori carving and art in Aotearoa, symbolising the unfurling fern frond and representing new beginnings, growth, and strength. Inspired by time spent among New Zealand’s native bush, Tania’s Koru designs celebrate the gentle curls and spirals that shape the forest floor and canopy alike.
In this double Koru design, two spirals meet and flow through one another, symbolising connection, partnership, and shared journeys. Subtle carved indentations in the polished surface create movement and depth, allowing light to shimmer across the curves and bring the piece beautifully to life.
The pendant has a satisfying, weighty feel, reflecting Tania Mallow’s commitment to comfort, quality, and longevity. Generous use of material ensures each piece feels substantial while remaining comfortable to wear.
Crafted in certified sterling silver (92.5% pure silver), the necklace is durable and designed for everyday enjoyment. It can be easily maintained with a simple polishing cloth to keep its shine.
