A sweet bar necklace with Aotearoa followed by a heart, creatively stamped into brushed sterling silver, finished with a sterling silver chain and clasp.

Aotearoa is the indigenous Maori name for New Zealand and in recent years has become widely used by people of all cultures in New Zealand. This beautiful necklace by Tania Mallow is a lovely way to wear a piece of Aotearoa close to your heart. 

Each silver bar is hand cut and stamped by Tania ensuring no two are the same. The lettering is very sweet and finished with a tiny heart. To give the lettering depth Tania has slightly oxidized the surface and then polished it. Finally the bar is finished with a slight brushing technique to add texture and diffuse the light.

This necklace is incredibly easy to wear and sits flat against the chest. The low profile means it won't dangle around or catch easily on clothing and hair. It is also lightweight yet durable.

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver. The alloy composition results in a metal that is very durable and long lasting. Sterling silver is easily polished using a polishing cloth. Tania Mallow jewellery is certified sterling silver.
