The Kōtare (Sacred Kingfisher) is a native treasure to New Zealand. These talented fishers are spotted near waterways silently contemplating and have a reputation for their silent and calm demeanor. Tania's design captures the peaceful features of this enigmatic bird perfectly as he looks over his shoulder and smiles sweetly.
Like many of Tania Mallow's other pieces these earrings are created with comfort and quality at the forefront. These earrings are light enough for all day wear. They have been enhanced by a skillful oxidization technique which brings the carved lines to life.
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver. The alloy composition results in a metal that is very durable and long lasting. Sterling silver is easily polished using a polishing cloth. Tania Mallow jewellery is certified sterling silver.
