Inspired by a very special heirloom necklace which has been traced back to its roots in Bremen Germany.
This striking, one-of-a-kind necklace has been thoughtfully and meticulously handcrafted by Tania in her home studio, using upcycled sterling silver. With a deep commitment to sustainability and artistry, Tania began by rolling each piece of silver to an even, consistent thickness, creating a perfect foundation for further detailing. She then pressed delicate lace into the surface of the silver, transferring its intricate pattern and lending the metal a soft, organic texture that is both unique and timeless.
Once textured, the silver was carefully cut into slender strips and hand-shaped into graceful loops to form the chain’s elegant links. Each link was then skillfully soldered and individually refined—smoothed, polished, and perfected by hand. The result is a beautifully balanced statement piece: refined yet full of character, modern yet deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship. A true celebration of sustainable design and individual artistry.
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver. The alloy composition results in a metal that is very durable and long lasting. Sterling silver is easily polished using a polishing cloth. Tania Mallow jewellery is certified sterling silver.
